Motivational
interviewing is a client-centered, directive method for enhancing
intrinsic motivation
to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence.
This web site
is intended to provide resources for those seeking information on
Motivational Interviewing. It
includes general information about the approach, as well as links,
training resources, and information on reprints and recent research.
In
addition to the contributions of Drs. Miller and Rollnick, the site
has benefited
from the input of several members
of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), and
hosts information about the MINT organization. In addition
to providing information on Motivational Interviewing, the site serves
as a resource
for agencies or organizations who wish to find a skilled and knowledgeable
trainer to assist them in implementing or supplementing current motivational
services.
The
Mid-Atlantic Addiction Technology Transfer Center wishes
to congratulate the Motivational Interviewing Network
of Trainers (MINT) on incorporating. MINT has collaborated
with us on this site for the past nine years and it has
been wonderful to see it grow. MINT now has approximately
700 members in nearly 30 countries. Learn more about MINT
here.
